IDS Scheer Helps Companies to Achieve Real-Time Control of their Processes
New ARIS PPM and ARIS PEM releases enable direct, efficient management of mission-critical processes
Saarbruecken, September 24, 2008
Managers can only address emerging problems quickly and efficiently if KPIs are combined with monitoring and analysis of operational processes. The enhanced functionalities of the new ARIS Process Performance Manager (PPM) 4.1.2 and ARIS Process Event Monitor (PEM) 1.1 help organizations to boost and maintain performance across the enterprise.
ARIS PPM 4.1.2.
ARIS PPM helps companies to assess their business processes in terms of speed, cost, quality, and quantity, and to identify optimization opportunities. Thanks to integration with Minitab Statistical Software (R), the statistics package used to implement virtually every major Six Sigma initiative around the world, the benefits of using ARIS PPM to measure process-oriented KPIs and conduct ongoing controlling are now also available in Six Sigma projects. Measured process data can be exported at the push of a button to the Minitab© statistical program. It is then possible to seamlessly embed the subsequent analysis results, such as control charts, into ARIS Performance Dashboard and make them accessible to a wide range of users along with the statistical process values. This means that managers can now ensure the sustained success of Six Sigma projects.
The new Query Web Service is an interface for extracting data online from ARIS PPM for integration into other applications—the first time this facility has been available. It is thus possible to embed analysis results from ARIS PPM in operational processes or to use ARIS PPM as a source of data for complex, customer-specific applications.
ARIS Performance Dashboard, the tool that displays corporate processes for intuitive analysis via KPIs and traffic lights, now features a new view. Managers can thus identify problem processes and KPI values more easily and respond faster to negative deviations.
Configurable layout options in the analysis component of ARIS PPM now enable complex process flows to be displayed in a more user-friendly way, making actual process flows clearer to users and facilitating identification of scope for improvement.
ARIS PEM 1.1
ARIS Process Event Monitor’s measurement, monitoring, and analysis functionalities deliver the indicators and structure information that organizations need in order to respond appropriately to relevant events at all levels. The new release focuses on model-based configuration of dashboards, i.e., easy-to-understand cockpits that display process performance via ARIS Business Architect. The relationship with the processes is retained in the central ARIS database, thus providing a convenient means of documentation. Users can apply the configuration to the ARIS PEM server at the push of a button: the updated configuration is immediately active and visible on the dashboard.
Other features include multilingual functionality, enhanced exception handling, and support for 64-bit architectures by the ARIS PEM server, thereby enabling processing of extremely high volumes of data.
Both products are being presented at IDS Scheer’s international Process Intelligence Roadshow under the slogan “Process Intelligence – Beyond BI.” User reports plus live product presentations provide roadshow visitors with an overview of current technology and its deployment in the corporate environment. Attendance of the one-day roadshow events is free.
